Vineyard rows in granite country, Great Southern Western Australia

Historical listing only. Names on this page come from older tourism directories for Mount Barker and the Porongurup. Current operators, hours, and cellar-door details are unverified — confirm with official sources before you travel.

Chatsfield is a name the 2005-era tourism site filed next to other Mount Barker cellar-door pages. The clean path stays. The brochure copy does not.

Mount Barker’s GI, registered by Wine Australia in 1997, is the legal geography that makes a local wine name intelligible. Riesling and Shiraz are the varieties regional writing most often attaches to this sub-region. A historic label sitting inside that GI is not, by itself, an invitation to arrive unannounced.

Confirm any current trade through a producer or regional association page. If you cannot, treat this slug as local wine history and spend the day on Porongurup walks or the lookout instead.
