Banksia

A historical accommodation name from early Mount Barker tourism files. Not a current booking page.

Banksia-country wildflowers and granite in the Plantagenet landscape

Historical listing only. Names on this page come from older tourism directories for Mount Barker and the Porongurup. Current operators, hours, and cellar-door details are unverified — confirm with official sources before you travel.

Banksia, on the old site, sat among farmstay and bed-and-breakfast listings rather than among plant guides. The /banksia.html file is therefore restored here as a historical stay name, not as a flora article. For plants, use flora.

Early directories described a rural property with views toward the Porongurup Range. Those sentences are exactly the kind of archive this guide will not copy. Hosts change. Houses change. A romantic two-storey stone homestead in a 2006 table may or may not be a business tomorrow.

If a current booking platform shows a Banksia-named stay near Mount Barker, verify it as you would any rural bed: a reachable operator, a mapped address, and rules you can accept. This page is not that verification.

For how to choose a base, see accommodation.
