In the region there are some 1000 varieties of wildflowers, and some 60 varieties found nowhere else in the world. They are seasonal and may be enjoyed during the months of September and October. Whether your tastes run to internationally recognised wines or the breathtaking beauty of the ancient mountain ranges, the Mount Barker Tourist Region has these and much, much more to offer the tourist and casual visitor to mt barker alike.
